About the role

Our client, a growing multi-location retail company, is looking for a highly organized Junior Purchasing Manager to oversee the complete purchasing process across multiple retail locations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex workflows, solving operational issues, and ensuring inventory moves efficiently from vendors to stores.

You will work closely with store managers, vendors, and the CEO to keep purchasing operations running smoothly while maintaining accurate records and improving internal processes.

Scope of work

The Junior Purchasing Manager will own the purchasing lifecycle from purchase order creation through vendor communication, issue resolution, reconciliation, and documentation. 

Work includes

Managing purchase orders created by store managers in Lightspeed

Placing orders with vendors and following up on order status

Handling purchasing exceptions such as partial shipments, incorrect items, damaged products, and returns

Tracking incoming inventory and ensuring all orders are received correctly

Maintaining organized purchasing documentation, invoices, and packing slips

Updating reconciliation spreadsheets and supporting accounting processes

Managing purchasing records across Google Drive, Dropbox, and internal documentation

Creating and maintaining process documentation, including Loom training videos and operational guides

Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing workflows and operational efficiency 

What we are looking for

Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

Excellent problem-solving and follow-through abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Professional written and verbal English communication skills

Experience with Google Workspace, especially Gmail, Google Sheets, and Google Drive

Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment

Nice to have

Experience using Lightspeed POS

Experience with Dropbox and LastPass

Experience creating documentation or training materials using Loom

Knowledge of purchasing reconciliation and inventory management

Experience working with multi-location retail businesses

Schedule

Monday through Friday

Approximately 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time 

USD $1,800 to $2,000 per month

10 paid days off per year

Standard US holidays

PTO requests require a minimum of 15 calendar days' notice
